Just having a firearm does not protect you.  The proper training and practice will improve your shooting skills and establish a quicker and accurate draw from a holster if carrying concealed.

There is SO much to learn, you might as well make it fun and keep it safe with proper safety steps to feel more comfortable.

COUPLES CLASSES (see CLASSES above) are also available, for both of you to learn together, if that's the case.

Our Mission is to make sure everyone knows proper firearm safety skills.  There are so many people that own firearms now.  But some do not take the time to learn about them.  Proper education will instill the confidence you need to be able to protect yourself and family and most importantly to prevent any accidents.

I have been married for 21 years to a former Police/K9/Swat Officer and Instructor.  The first ten years I was not interested in firearms, but approximately in 2013, I changed my mind based on how the world was evolving.  I was taught and trained by my husband, which was challenging and wonderful, but I felt the need to share my experiences and teach women a little differently.

In April of 2020, I became an NRA Pistol Instructor, and I have been teaching women ever since.  I have a gentle, patient and less intimidating approach.  A lot of women are scared and very intimidated with a firearm which I totally understand.  Even being in the same room with a firearm can cause some anxiety.  I teach my classes in the comfort of my own home, so you feel 100% at ease.  I've even been called a therapist for hoplophobia (a fear of weapons).

I teach a Basic Pistol course utilizing a PowerPoint slideshow and also have installed a Smokeless Range with a Sirt laser guns along with a CO2 pressurized recoil gun.  We'll go through all safety rules, differences of semi-auto and revolver, ammunitions, how to load and unload (hands-on training with real firearms and dummy rounds), firearm shooting skills, the rules of different indoor ranges and what to expect, firearm storage and cleaning.  

Plus, I also include a very important component, which is Situational Awareness.  We discuss ways women can protect themselves even without a firearm.  I'll go over non-lethal self-defense tools to use and carry in your everyday routine.  Along with Mental Preparedness, which often gets overlooked.  

I then introduce shooting with the SIRT laser guns so you can work on your stance, grip and proper technique.  It is 100% safe for every one and I have received many positive reviews from my students, which makes me love my job even more!

I go at your pace.  Everyone learns at a different speed, so I don't like to rush it.  I focus on you learning the proper technique first without having to change any bad habits later.  Most importantly, safe handling and following safety rules so there will be no accidents now or in the future.

For live shooting, my husband and I belong to a private range.  So, when you feel ready, we can plan a day, and you can apply all the skills you have learned.  I love it there because it's just us, no distractions and we can all fully focus on proper techniques.  OR we can always go to a local indoor shooting range as well. 

I promise you'll be comfortable and learn enough to feel fully confident and empowered to continue your firearm journey.
